Case study
Teeser, a social network for T-shirt customisation
Native app Java Android, Objective-C iOS
Teeser is an app that combines T-shirt customisation with social network and e-commerce functions.
Teeser is a project created for GetApp s.r.l., a startup with roots in Tuscany.
Teeser enables its users to customise T-shirts by inserting graphics, photos, backgrounds, patterns and text that can be rotated and positioned as desired on the T-shirt. Uploaded photos and graphics can be retouched either through a series of predefined filters or by individually altering the saturation, brightness and contrast of each image.
Once the T-shirt has been designed, it can be shared with the Teeser user community, purchased and delivered to the user's home within 48 hours. Anyone can become a designer, and users receive a portion of the proceeds from the sale of their T-shirt design when another user buys it.
At ELbuild, we contributed to the initial functional analysis and exclusively designed and built the client apps in iOS and Android versions, as well as the backend consisting of the REST APIs and the management console for the GetApp staff.
We also selected the payment gateway (Braintree) and designed the software interface both on the client-side and the server-side component using Java EE.
The app is developed with native technologies on both iOS and Android. The user interface was entirely designed by GetApp.
Teeser was one of the projects selected by H-Farm in 2015 and, in May 2016, surpassed 50,000 active users.
