PostgreSQL
PostgreSQL is an open source object database that can be used as an alternative to other free products, such as MySQL, or commercial solutions such as Oracle, IBM or DB2. Its unique features mean that, in many respects, it's at the cutting edge with respect to all database technologies.
When do we use PostgreSQL?
A powerful and high-performance solution. When system scalability is deemed critical during the analysis phase or when we must carry out native operations on complex objects, the choice falls on PostgreSQL. PostgreSQL has undeniable advantages from a performance point of view; however, the selection of this database requires specific hosting features that can increase costs. Alternatively, you can choose to use other types of relational databases, such as MySQL or Maria DB. In particular situations, you can use non-relational databases, such as Mongo DB.
